Love in the mist of war
Laid behind the seacoast,
the waves brought out a superior impact,
causing knocks against unwanted interference.
In her mind, everything stayed untouched. Flames of burning memories, elating or desolating, chocked along with her teary eyes. Bottles of unwanted rumination shattered around on hidden grounds. Those were the lost moments. Moments of magic, it once were. Now its buried under sand, the retrieving part takes utmost audacity. Holding on compactly to the tip of her future exhilaration, she desperately needs to get over her soul. A person she once loved with all her soul now live to love another name. It all started fuzzy yet ended vividly. How it initialed is not by chance, but by fate.
Love bought them together, till death do they part. Or does it?
Sitting by the window, singing songs of love. She was enjoying the faintest of moonlight. It somehow brought a sense of epic conjunction deep within her. Her past, no one comprehends. Penning down her beloved dairy, she went into a deep delusion. Something she would do everything in her might to dispel.
It was 1802. The world was divided into two. Wars broke out between the two superior sovereigns, ZAIA and OTTOHEM. Between them is half the world population; Very much the biggest and costliest conflict one would want to go into.
It all started in the mist of agreement over a considerably small but nifty state, but a twist of fate started the sparks and drove a simple girl to torment.
Lying just beside the ape of good hope? a small town at the tip of a peninsular, lays GREENHILL, a small and frizzy town that lives without control from neither empire.
Farmers and fishermen rule the daily expenses for bread and water. Lives were simple back then, and freedom is the only happiness they were privilege enough to enjoy. The surrounding filled with greenery, timber houses and the stunning beach. Over the peak of the hill, lies the chief of the town, staying in a three-storey mansion. The differences in living standard over them and common folk often drew discontentment, and sometime, conflict due to jealously.
The family of three lives in the luxury of ample resources whenever and wherever they need. Their ancestor was the founder of the land, leaving behind illustrious history enough to draw unconditional respect from common folks. But time steals the hearts of the loyal. People now in the land of simplicity and minimalism, filled with greed and gluttony hoping perhaps to lead a better life.
Fights broke out as often as alternate days, crimes occur so frequent that most had their doors locked and night activities canceled.
Over at the mansion, in a certain room, is cherlyn, the only daughter of the island chief. Her father had gone out for an all-important meeting over the war breakout between ZAIA and OTTOHEM. She was in despair, feeling fearful of her own future and for those she dear.
It was May 21st 1802. The clock ticks exactly at 12am. The sky was covered with darkness, covering every single star for scrutiny. In this moon-less night, she drew her eyes on the quiet town below. It was this particular house that she fixed her sight on. Suddenly, fears and uncertainties flooded her mind. Tears formed behind her eyes. Like a little girl, she wept silently. That specific house laid a man who took half of her heart. Her true love. They knew each other since they were young. Since 5years-old, she often flees from the comfort of her own house just to be with her playmate, Ziv, a year older, an adventurous boy with great chutzpah. They did all things, lame and stupid, together.Throughout her childhood and adolescent, Ziv is the only one who keeps her thoughts and shares her joy. Her life was a part of his. Sorrows were never bitter when she had him to portion. That has made them falling in love so deeply even her redundant parents have no choice but to give in. Ziv once nearly gave up his life for her, the time when she got waved off so far out of the sea. When the villages were losing hopes of saving her, he threw his life to rescue her. That incident affected her phenomenally and when were one of few lovebirds willing to put their lives on the line. They were the talk of the town and children look up to them idolizing their undisputable love for each other.
But things will be going to change. .Cherlyn knew it. When the wars broke out, able-bodied male from all over the world were obligatory to fight for their country and steal each other limelight.
ill my Ziv be called up??ill he come back safely??iill I lose him??Frightening thoughts seemed to pollute her mind. Fears over uncertainties had made her lose appetite and getting skinnier day by day.o chance, Il have to talk to him now?she thought. She got up from her bed, and breezily hurried down. Everybody was in their dreamland. Snores could be heard when walking past houses by houses.nock knock, knock knock?Ziv woke up and opened the door. He saw her crying. What happened??he exclaimed. We got to get out of here, quick!?Cherlyn knew what she was doing. For her future, for their future, she decided to flee away to a faraway land, where no one knows of their whereabouts, somewhere without their footsteps.ets run we got no time?but..but are you sure its okay? You?
Before he could finish, footsteps were heard.o good, they came. We were too late.?Setting their sight far out, burning of flames could be seen. This could only mean one thing. And they jolly know the time has come. Frightful of their future, they decided to run. And run as fast as they could.
They sprinted to the entrance. Hopes were fading. The only chance for them is to get past the entrance before the troops arrived. Could they do it? Was time on their side?
